HERE ARE A COUPLE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • AAU
  • Taking our AAU basketball youth overseas, is just as important as taking them to various colleges. Exploring different avenues to achieve success is key.
  • These trips are not mandatory, but we do encourage them. We do whatever we can as an organization, to help prepare families to be able to make these trips.
  • A few things to keep in mind
  • Everyone must have a passport, if you don't have one, this should be one of the first things to get, when you become apart of the ADMIRAL family.
  • Some countries require a visa, if that is the case, we will notify you as soon as we know, but here is a great link to help you better understand what to expect  when obtaining one in a timely manner. https://traveltips.usatoday.com/obtain-international-visa-24555.html
  • Airfare, lodging, and meal coverage vary, so please be prepared to cover those costs just in-case. As an organization, we fundraiser to help cover cost so that every member who wants to go, might have that chance. #WeAllEat
  • Parents are welcome and encouraged but fundraising money will not be used to cover parent expenses.
  • Money exchange can be done at your bank, Credit Unions usually don't. You will get the best rate before you get to your destination, the airport exchange is also available.
  • Staying connected with family can usually done with WHATS APP, or WE CHAT, both can be easily downloaded on your phone. Please check with your phone company about any other questions.
  • Please carry  extra money on international trips for souvenirs.

  • Flying into WA for an International tryout? You are responsible for your food, lodging,travel and tryout fees. But stay connected to the ADMIRALS site, because new business relationships are made everyday.
  • No spouses or significant others are allowed on international trips but are encouraged to come and support at tryouts.
